The Ghana Police Service has arrested Evans Eshun, a 30-year-old prophet known as Ebo Noah, after his prediction in a viral video on social media that the world will end failed to come to pass.
Eshun gained international visibility for building massive wooden arks, claiming a global flood would begin on December 25, 2025. He was apprehended by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Inspector General, on December 31, 2025.
The arrest was carried out as part of ongoing police efforts to monitor and address cyber-related activities, particularly in the period leading up to 31st night religious services – Ghana Police Service
It all started in August 2025, where Eshun utilized TikTok and YouTube to warn of a three-year catastrophic rainfall sent by God. He supervised the construction of 10 arks, using over 250,000 wooden blocks.
Dawn Herald gathered that hundreds of people, including his followers from neighboring countries, abandoned their homes and jobs to seek refuge at his site in the Central Region of Ghana.
When no rain fell on Christmas Day, Eshun released a video claiming his three-week fast and intercession had persuaded God to postpone the disaster to allow for more arks to be built.
Days after the failed doomsday, Eshun appeared onstage at rapper Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2025 concert, saying to the crowd “because the doom was delayed”, thereby raising calls for his arrest for deceiving the public.
Eshun remains in custody while investigations continue. While he has not yet been formally charged, he could face prosecution under laws governing public order and electronic communications.
The Ghana Police Service has urged the public to remain calm and to avoid fraudulent schemes like this.
