Troops of the Joint Task Force Northeast, Operation Hadin Kai, neutralized eight terrorists and facilitated the surrender of 11 others during a recent operation along Azir-Wajiroko region on January 10, in Borno State.
The military also intercepted a vehicle carrying critical components for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) near the Cameroon border. The Nigerian Army successfully seized 12 bags of urea fertilizer (a chemical used to manufacture roadside bombs), and arrested the suspected dealer after conducting a vehicle search.
The 11 surrendered fighters and the arrested logistics suppliers have been taken into custody for profiling and investigation.

The Nigerian Army also destroyed several enclaves, including the Abu Nazir and Abu Ahmed camps, recovering flags, weapons, and general-purpose machine guns.

The Army after the successful crackdowns, pledged commitment in dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace and security across the North East region.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to cooperate with troops as clearance operations continue.
