Alhaji Amadu Danfulani, prominent Kwankwasiyya faction leader from Gobirawa Ward, Dala LGA, Kano State, officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.

‎The defection ceremony took place at the Kano State APC Headquarters along Hotoro-Maiduguri Road, marking the arrival of Danfulani into the APC fold.

‎Danfulani expressed dissatisfaction with the current leadership and policies of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), led by Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He cited disappointment over what he described as “anti-people’s policies and programmes”, prompting his decision to switch allegiance.

‎The event was well attended by key political figures, including the Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, represented by APC Zonal Chairman for Kano Central, Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Ungoggo. Also present were the Managing Director of Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, as well as youth leaders and ward officials.
