Socio-political activist Aisha Yesufu on Tuesday January 6, in a video states that she will work against the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi if he accepts a running mate position in the next election cycle.
In a viral video, Yesufu vowed to actively campaign against any political ticket that features Obi as a vice-presidential candidate rather than the lead presidential aspirant.
Yesufu expressed frustration over the long existing political culture that pushes highly competent leaders into secondary roles.
Aisha Yesufu stated she would use her little capacity to oppose any ticket where Peter Obi is not the presidential candidate.

Recall on December 31, 2025, Peter Obi officially defected to the ADC in Enugu, joining other prominent figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor Nasir El-Rufai in a unified front.
