Four Nigerian soldiers lost their lives, and five others were wounded during a Boko Haram attack on a military post located in Ngamdu along the Damaturu-Maiduguri road in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday at around 2:30 am.

Despite the intensity, soldiers from Operation Hadin Kai repelled the attack with reinforcements from the 29 Task Force Brigade.Lt. Col. Uba Sani, spokesperson for Operation Hadin Kai, confirmed the losses in a statement, saying that four soldiers were killed in action and five wounded in action. He added that the terrorists planted multiple IEDs along the main military supply route to prevent reinforcements, temporarily closing the Ngamdu–Damaturu road. Military engineers quickly cleared the explosives, reopening the route to civilian and military traffic.
Credible intelligence reports indicate heavy casualties among the terrorists, with about 15 bodies reportedly buried near Bula Wura, close to Wasaram.
Troops have since been resupplied with logistics to sustain operations and maintain security in the area.
