During the 63rd minute of their round of 16 clash, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was seen yelling and pointing at his teammate Ademola Lookman.
Despite Lookman having already assisted both of Osimhen’s goals, the striker was furious after the Atalanta winger opted to shoot rather than pass during an attack.
Osimhen was caught on camera telling Lookman in pidgin, “No try am again” (Don’t try that again), following a missed passing opportunity.
The tension escalated when Osimhen appeared to signal the bench for a substitution immediately after the outburst. As he was replaced by Moses Simon in the 68th minute, sections of the Nigerian supporters booed the striker, expressing their disapproval of his display during the match.
Despite the friction, Lookman was named Man of the Match.

Nigeria won 4-0 despite the drama, with Osimhen scoring two goals, Lookman a goal, and Akor Adams scoring the fourth goal. Nigeria will face either Algeria or DR Congo in the next round.
