Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State officially sent off 200 students to India on Tuesday, December 30. Under the newly launched Mutfwang Legacy Scholarship Scheme, the beneficiaries will pursue undergraduate degrees in specialized fields at Sanskaram University, Jhajjar (Haryana).
Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the selection process was merit-driven and insulated from slots allocated to politicians or local government officials.
The entrance examinations and interviews were supervised independently by Sanskaram University to ensure zero political interference.
The scholarship focuses on the technical sectors such as Medical Sciences (Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health), Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical), ICT (Computer Science, Software Engineering, and AI).
Beneficiaries were drawn from all three senatorial zones (Plateau North, Central, and South).

During the ceremony, the Governor revealed that the ₦914.8 billion Budget of Consolidation and Sustainability for 2026.
