The President’s statement, released Thursday through his spokesperson Mr. Bayo Onanuga in Abuja, conveyed deep sorrow for the loss and suffering experienced by victims, their families, and staff members of Afriland Properties Limited, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, and UBA PLC.
This recent calamity brought swift action from the Federal Fire Service alongside medical personnel and emergency responders who worked tirelessly to evacuate everyone safely. Communities nearby also played a vital role in assisting the rescue operations.
In his message, the President acknowledged the courage and dedication of these teams, urging all institutions to intensify safety protocols, enhance training, and maintain vigilance to reduce the likelihood of similar disasters in the future. He emphasized the importance of preparedness and awareness campaigns to protect lives and property.
