The Nigerian Air Force launched a precision air raid on a terrorist stronghold near Zuwa, Borno State, killing more than 15 insurgents and demolishing vital enemy facilities.
The aerial operation, according to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF’s spokesperson, was meticulously orchestrated using verified intelligence and surveillance data. Targets included hideouts sheltering militants and commanders linked to recent attacks in the Bitta area.
Ejodame explained that the operation was carried out to weaken the insurgents’ influence within the Sambisa forest region. He elaborated that the offensive devastated key enemy installations, degraded the terrorists operational capabilities.
Air Commodore Ejodame added that each successful sortie advances Nigeria closer to eradicating violent extremism and that the Nigerian Air Force remains firm to safeguard lives and assist the ground troops decisively.
Local officials from Borno welcomed the operation, acknowledging the positive impact on community safety and expressing hope for continued joint efforts to combat terrorism.
