A fence which collapses at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, in Bulumkutu, Maiduguri, Borno State, has claimed the lives of five children.
The Borno State Police Command, after investigation confirmed that six children, all under the age of 16, were close to the structure when it collapsed. Five died at the scene or shortly after, while the sixth child survived with injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.

Though the collapse took place on Sunday evening, the Police Command provided the full casualty report on Tuesday morning.
The Police Command has already launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the structural failure.
