Former Senator for Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has issued a warning regarding the trajectory of the country, stating that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu carries a “historic responsibility” to redefine Nigeria’s future.

Sani cautioned that should the current administration fail to deliver on its mandate, it will be exceptionally difficult for any subsequent president to succeed.

President Tinubu assumed office with a promise of ambitious economic reforms, including the removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates. These measures have led to soaring inflation and the rise in the cost of living, placing the administration under intense public scrutiny.

Sani frames Tinubu’s tenure as a defining moment, where success or failure will establish a long-term precedent for governance and political stability in the country.

No country dropped from heaven. China, Singapore, Indonesia, they all paid the price for progress – Shehu Sani

‎Shehu Sani advised that the administration must seize this chance for genuine reform, demanding bold, reform-driven decisions to secure long-term progress, failure of which, could lead to a permanent crisis of governance in the country.
