Tacha explains why she moved her GWR makeover attempt from UK to Nigeria

‎Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natasha Akide, known as Tacha, revealed on Sunday her decision to shift her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers in 24 hours from London to Lagos.

‎The Tacha Beauty Festival, held at Lagos’s John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History, is hosting the three-day record attempt, running from October 10 to 12. Tacha explained that although initial plans included London and sponsorship by NYX, she felt the UK lacked the right energy and that showcasing her homeland was more meaningful.

‎Tacha, who rose to fame from Big Brother Naija’s Pepper Dem season, began her 24-hour makeover challenge on Saturday night, targeting 150 makeovers. By early Sunday, she had completed 115 makeovers in 12 hours, surpassing the previous record of 113.

‎Tacha dedicates this festival to her late mother, which is the sole motivation behind her ambition. Despite minor power interruptions, she maintained a swift pace, completing each transformation in minutes before sending models to photo booths and runway displays.
