The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA), Alhaji Ibrahim Ladan Duguri, and four of his children have died in an auto crash in Bauchi State.
The crash occurred at Yalwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state. While the agency boss and four of his children lost their lives in the wreckage, one of his sons, identified as Suleiman, survived the accident and is currently receiving medical attention.
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, in an official condolence message, has extended his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and the Duguri Emirate Council and prayed for the recovery of the surviving son.
”Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alhaji Ibrahim Ladan Duguri was a close personal friend, and classmate of Governor Bala Mohammed. His death, therefore, represents not only the loss of a valued public servant but also the painful departure of a beloved family member and trusted companion whose life was marked by service, loyalty, and dedication to humanity.”
Governor Mohammed acknowledged the late BASHCMA chief’s immense contributions to make healthcare more accessible to the less privileged across the state.
He also praised the deceased’s outstanding support for the state’s medical team during annual pilgrimage exercises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The funeral prayers for the deceased are scheduled to be held at the palace of the District Head of Yalwan Duguri by 11:00 am on Sunday, in accordance with Islamic rites.
