Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan,  representing Kogi Central, on Tuesday, launched the distribution of 8,000 bags of 25kg rice and assorted food items, to her constituency for Christmas celebration, to cushion the impact of rising food costs during the Yuletide season.

The distribution was held simultaneously across the five local government areas (LGAs) of the district. While some reports initially claimed it was 2,000 bags, the media aide of the Senator confirmed a total of 8,000 bags of rice, making it one of the largest individual legislative palliatives in Kogi State history.

This is not the only support the senator has rendered to her constituency. Recall, Dawn Herald reported that the Senator, during the November 2025 celebration of her second anniversary in office, commissioned markets and maternity centers, to her constituency.

The relief was not limited to party faithfuls. It reached religious bodies, marketed women, the elderly, and youth organizations across all political divides.

While addressing beneficiaries in Okehi, Senator Natasha emphasized that her representation goes beyond the Senate chamber, stressing her commitment to grassroots engagement regardless of the friction in Abuja.
