Lagos State Agricultural Input Supply Authority (LAISA) hosted a transformative one-day forum on October 5, 2025, engaging over 500 farmers and fishermen in Ikorodu to enhance food security through innovative farming and fishing techniques.

‎The forum focused on equipping participants with new methods designed to improve productivity and sustainability in their communities.

‎LAISA General Manager Olufolake Oluyemi emphasized the importance of direct interaction with farmers and fishermen. According to her, they recognise that the challenges faced by farmers in Ikorodu are unique compared to those in Badagry or Epe and that the l forum is designed as both a capacity-building session and a platform for farmers to listen, learn, and co-create innovative solutions.

‎The program included practical demonstrations and discussions showcasing modern agricultural inputs such as certified seeds, appropriate fertilisers, and up-to-date implements. It was a response to the increasing need for reliable access to quality resources to increase food production within the state.
