Tinubu returns to Kaduna for the second time in 2025

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Kaduna State on a brief trip Friday, September 19, 2025, to join a family celebration and make a private call.

The president touched down at Kaduna International Airport around 1 p.m., where he was welcomed by Governor Uba Sani along with Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, several ministers, senators, and other senior officials.

During this one-day stop, president Tinubu is present to witness the wedding of Nasirudeen Yari and Safiyya Idris. Nasirudeen is the son of Abdul’aziz Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State who currently serves as senator representing Zamfara West.

Besides the celebratory event, President Tinubu is also expected to visit Aisha Buhari, the widow of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, at her Kaduna family home for a courtesy call.

This marks the president’s second visit to Kaduna this year. Earlier in June, he inspected multiple notable developments including the opening of the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, Igabi LGA, the inauguration of the 300-bed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital located in Millennium City, and the rollout of 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses aimed at promoting environmentally friendly public transportation.

Governor Uba Sani expressed gratitude for receiving the president again and he appreciates his support towards Kaduna’s progress and unity.
