Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has directed his supporters to vote for candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across all levels in the 2027 general elections.
The North-West Vice Chairman of the ADC, Hafsat Baba, delivered the directive during a coalition meeting in Kaduna. She stated that the mandate covers the presidential, governorship, and legislative elections across the 23 local government areas of the state.
The coalition is currently establishing a database of El-Rufai’s loyalists, to strengthen political mobilisation. She stressed that the support groups are committed to sustaining the legacy of the former governor in education, healthcare, and empowerment.
Addressing the security challenges in the state, the ADC chieftain expressed concern over criminal activities in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, and Millennium City. She urged security agencies to intensify efforts to protect the lives and property of residents.
Baba disclosed that over 30 of the former governor’s supporters were arrested about two weeks ago. She urged security operatives to remain impartial and discharge their constitutional duties.
