Melaye dares Tinubu to Quranic recitation contest after Umrah

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to a Quranic recitation competition following the President’s recent spiritual trip to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj.

Melaye declared his readiness to engage the President in a test of scriptural citation immediately upon his return.

Melaye challenged the president in a statement posted on his official X handle on Monday. The post reads;

“Now that Alhaji Bola Tinubu is in Umrah. Immediately he comes back, I challenge him to a Quranic citation competition with me…No one can mock God”, Melaye.

Recall, Dawn Herald reported previously that the president’s visit was centred on spiritual activities for the good of the nation, including a visit to the Holy Ka’abah.

At the time this report was published, the Presidency is yet to issue a response to the former senator’s challenge.
