The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has released a nationwide hotline to report MRS Oil Nigeria Plc stations found selling petrol (PMS) above the approved pump price of ₦739 per litre.

This was announced today Tuesday, December 23, in order to ensure that the benefits of locally refined fuel reach Nigerian consumers directly, especially during the festive season.

The refinery urged citizens to act as price monitors against retail outlets, that may attempt to exploit the current market, by reaching out to this toll line; 0800 123 5264. The toll-free number, 0800 123 5264,  allows Nigerians to report any MRS outlet violating the ₦739 price cap in real-time.

The refinery currently produces approximately 50 million litres per day, sufficient enough to meet national demand and eliminate the artificial scarcity often used to justify price hikes, during festive seasons.

‎The refinery has called on government regulatory agencies to prosecute marketers found violating pricing guidelines to ensure the ₦739 rate becomes the national standard.

‎Consumers are advised to save the hotline and request receipts for every purchase to serve as evidence in case of a price dispute.
