The former Governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello has hailed President Bola Tinubu as the “angel” sent by God to fix Nigeria. Speaking at an endorsement rally for Tinubu and Kogi Governor Usman Ododo on Saturday, Bello urged Nigerians to recognise the reforms already in progress rather than waiting for a miracle overnight.
Bello mentioned the achievements under Tinubu’s administration since 2023, which include the removal of fuel subsidies, introduction of student loans, floating of the exchange rate, and policies attracting foreign investment. He also emphasized the challenges faced in addressing years of systemic decay.
The former governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello acknowledged that progress would be gradual, urging Nigerians to pledge full support for Tinubu’s governmental policies for sustainable reforms and infrastructure development.
Yahaya Bello, while emphasising the importance of legacy, said leadership must leave lasting impact, and that Tinubu’s second term will help solidify his achievements for future generations to uphold.
The rally was solely organized by state to boost support ahead of the 2027 general elections, for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
