Members of the Joint Task Force (JTF), in collaboration with hunters and vigilantes, have arrested two injured bandits and their doctors, razing their camps in the Aherin-Bunu community of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State.
The operation, disclosed by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), took place on Thursday after security agencies received intelligence about wounded bandits being treated locally. The arrested bandits had been injured during previous clashes with security forces in the region.
Security personnel acted swiftly based on the information, detaining the two injured bandits and the fake doctors providing care in the makeshift clinic within the bandits’ camps. The combined forces demolished the camps, including farmland and farm produce used by the bandits.
