Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, welcomed the Premier League Trophy on Sunday, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to leveraging sports for youth development, social inclusion, and community engagement.
The trophy was presented at Lagos House, Marina, by Guinness Nigeria PLC’s Managing Director, Girish Sharma. Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the strong passion for sports in Lagos and its power to inspire positive change among young people. He also pledged continued support for a business-friendly environment and commended Guinness Nigeria’s role in promoting sports and social progress.
Sharma, in turn, praised Sanwo-Olu’s leadership and emphasized Guinness Nigeria’s commitment to engaging with football fans and supporting Lagos through initiatives like the trophy tour.
