During a political program on Channels Television’s, the Chieftain assured stakeholders and members the decision to ensure unlawful party members will be thrown out of the opposition during the upcoming National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
People’s democratic party chieftain George Bode George promised to dismiss members of the party who don’t abide by the rules as he said, “Those who cannot abide by the rules and regulations of the party, we can throw them out of the party.” The Chieftain accused these allegedly unlawful members of being selfish and self centered as he said, “As politicians, is it only for their own personal gain that they are looking at, What about the impact?” He further on went to emphasize the need for political party members to uphold the spirit of democracy, even having the explain in his words what it means to him, “What is democracy? It’s all about the management of the resources of the land for the benefit of the people. That is not what they have done now.”
He further on showed his intentions to be transparent and have a private moment with the party members in which they will discuss uneasy but important matters concerning the party and wellbeing as he stated, “And I am hoping that by the 27th of this month, we will meet in a closed door and tell ourselves some home truths”, he expressed his desire to return to the foundation set the founders of the party which he believed, “We should tell ourselves some serious home truths, and come back to the position as laid down by the founding fathers of our party,”
