Boxer stabbed to death during street fight in Ibadan

An amateur boxer, identified simply as Kehinde, has been killed after being stabbed in the neck during a street brawl at Olodo Garage in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The incident occurred on Sunday when the deceased, popularly known as KBlaq, was attacked with a broken bottle.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the assailant, suspected to be a commercial motorcyclist, was not involved in the initial altercation but struck the victim after the fight had already ended.

Immediately after the incident, acquaintances of the deceased have taken to social media to demand justice, revealing that the boxer was a peaceful individual who was inadvertently caught in the violence.

Confirming the incident on Monday, the spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrator.
