Tinubu appoints Keyamo to head APC air mobilisation for 2027 re-election

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, to head the Directorate of Air Mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 re-election campaign.

The aviation minister will coordinate nationwide travel logistics for campaign personnel alongside FAAN Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku.

Under the newly constituted directorate, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, will serve as Deputy Director I, while Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar assumes the role of Deputy Director II.

The appointment was confirmed in a press release issued on Sunday by Keyamo’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood.

According to him, the directorate is responsible for managing air-movement requirements and facilitating travel arrangements for designated party officials.

The team will also oversee the deployment of available aviation logistics in compliance with safety regulations and electoral laws.

“Air transportation is an important component of national campaign logistics, particularly where campaign leaders and officials are required to cover multiple locations within compressed schedules. The Directorate of Air Mobilisation is expected to support the broader campaign organisation through structured planning, coordination with relevant stakeholders, efficient scheduling and appropriate logistical arrangements”, Moshood.

The media aide added that the directorate is saddled with the responsibility to maintain boundary between party campaign operations and official government functions.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council continues to assemble political leaders and dedicated directorates to manage the preparations of the party for the forthcoming general election.
