Ahead of the official kick-off of its nationwide campaign in Kaduna State, the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has convened its inaugural meeting in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The closed-door session is currently holding at the PCC national secretariat in Abuja, coming exactly one week after the ruling party formally inaugurated the campaign council for the 2027 general elections.

Dawn Herald gathered that security officers were stationed at close perimeter around the facility, barring journalists from gaining access to the venue of the meeting. Several accredited members of the campaign council were seen at the main entrance, struggling to make their way into the heavily guarded secretariat.

According to situational report, the massive influx of political actors and their security convoys has completely grounded vehicular movement in the area. The ruling party as the event proceeds, is expected to issue a formal communique about its operational strategies and final campaign itinerary upon the conclusion of the closed-door proceedings.
