Renowned Nigerian evangelist and founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80, his family confirmed on Monday. His death marks the end of more than six decades of dedicated service to evangelism and spiritual mentorship.
Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai was widely regarded as a spiritual general and a founding father of faith in Nigeria, impacting millions of lives through his dynamic teaching of the Word and prophetic demonstrations of God’s power.
Ukpai became known for his fiery evangelistic campaigns and commitment to nurturing spiritual growth across generations. His ministry extended beyond Nigeria, reaching believers around the world.The evangelist’s family described his passing as a “glorious transition” from a life devoted to God’s service to eternal rest.
