Car wash attendant disappears with N38 million car 3 days after being employed

A newly employed attendant at a car wash in Asaba, Delta State, reportedly vanished with a customer’s luxury car worth N38 million, only three days after starting work.

Eyewitnesses who shared a video on social media said the car owner, unaware of the attendant’s short tenure, handed over the vehicle keys trusting the young worker. After appearing to wash the car, the attendant allegedly sat in the driver’s seat under the pretext of reversing it but instead sped away, leaving no trace.

The luxury vehicle, said to have no tracking device, is still missing as police continue their investigation.

Meanwhile, the owner of the car wash has been taken into custody for questioning. One eyewitness warned other car owners against leaving keys with attendants, noting this is not the first time such incidents have occurred in Asaba.

The Nigerian police force is actively investigating the case, urging the public to report any information that might help recover the car.
