Senior officials of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have dismissed reports of internal plots against their National Chairman, David Mark, emphasizing that the party remains united and focused ahead of the 2027 elections.
Rumours about a potential power struggle within the ADC surfaced recently after comments attributed to former APC National Vice Chairman, Salihu Lukman, suggested fissures within the party’s leadership.
Lukman warned that factional battles in Kaduna could mirror past attempts to unseat David Mark at the national level, potentially weakening the opposition’s position.
Ibrahim Ahmad Mani, the ADC National Treasurer, categorically denied knowledge of any such turmoil. He reassured party members and supporters that the ADC is rallying strongly behind its chairman.
Mani outlined progress being made to solidify the party’s presence nationwide, especially at state and local government levels. Party officials have continued grassroots mobilization and policy development to present a credible alternative to the ruling party.
