President Bola Tinubu has mocked Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, over his failure to tackle the erosion crisis in Anambra State during his tenure as governor.
Addressing supporters at the All Progressives Congress campaign rally in Akwa Ibom State on Friday, the President compared Obi’s record and his own achievements as Lagos State governor.
“He could not confront erosion. I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I confronted the Atlantic Ocean, I tamed it for you,” Tinubu declared to the crowd.
Tinubu also criticised Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, questioning his character and consistency after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.
“Is that a leadership trait? Is that a leadership character? And he wants you to vote for him,” the President.
He accused Atiku of being unable to “put a house in order.”
The President tagged opposition parties as “mushroom parties” that lack the calibre and reliability of the ruling APC leadership.
