BREAKING: Newly elected Biu officials abducted by terrorists

Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have abducted the newly elected Vice Chairman and two councillors of Biu Local Government Area. The attack occurred on Wednesday evening, December 17, along Kamuya-Buni Yadi road, a transit point between Borno and Yobe states.

The victims were among the winners of the Borno State Local Government elections held just five days ago.

‎The primary targets identified are Alhaji Saidu, the Vice Chairman and two councillors representing
‎Zarawuyaku and Miringa wards. One of the abducted councillors is the immediate past Vice Chairman of the LGA.

‎The officials were traveling in a Hizbah Hummer bus, alongside other unidentified passengers from Potiskum, Yobe State. The total number of captives remains unconfirmed but is believed to include several civilians.
