The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of the State Simon Bako Lalong sends hearty congratulations to Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil as he marks his birthday.
In a message, Senator Lalong expressed gratitude to God for granting the Speaker and opportunity to mark another year in good health and strength.
He said this birthday is special because it is coming not long after the celebrant assumed leadership of the 10th Plateau State House of Assembly.
According to Senator Lalong who was also Speaker between 2000-2007, the position of the Speaker is one that carries a lot of responsibility particularly in ensuring that the voice of the people is heard in governance.
In joining the family, friends and associates of the Speaker to celebrate this special day, Senator Lalong hopes that he will use the opportunity to reflect and dedicate himself to serving the people using every opportunity available to him.
As leader of the APC in Plateau State, Senator Lalong uses the opportunity to ask the Speaker to remain focused on promoting good governance, accountability, peace and development throughout effective law making and oversight.
