Elizabeth Egbetokun, wife of the Inspector-General of Police and National President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), is set to unveil a modern POWA school in Bauchi on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The announcement was made by POWA’s Bauchi chapter during a press briefing on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The school, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, aims to provide quality education for children of police officers and local communities. It features classrooms, a library, and ICT labs to enhance learning, addressing educational gaps for police families in the state.
POWA Bauchi Chairperson, Mrs. Aisha Abdullahi, hailed the project as a milestone in empowering women and children within the police ecosystem. The initiative has sparked excitement among residents, who anticipate improved access to education.
The commissioning ceremony will include state officials and police leadership, marking a significant step in POWA’s nationwide efforts to support police welfare through education.
