Following a commanding 4-0 win over Benin Republic, the Super Eagles of NIgeria still face a playoff hurdle to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The African Playoffs are scheduled for November 13-16, with the venue yet to be announced by CAF.

The winner of the playoff final will proceed to the Inter-Confederation Playoffs in March 2026, competing against teams from five continents for one of the last two World Cup spots.
Despite the recent emphatic win against Benin, Nigeria must still secure victory in the African Playoffs to advance.
