Kebbi PDP re-elects Usman Bello-Suru as chairman

‎The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has re-elected Usman Bello-Suru as chairman during the state congress on Saturday, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

‎Delegates from all 21 local government areas came together under the supervision of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials to endorse Bello-Suru and 38 other party executives.

‎Former governorship candidate Aminu Bande and Board of Trustees member Benjamin Dike praised the congress for fostering unity and encouraged the executives to strengthen the party’s foundation ahead of future contests.

‎Among the re-elected officers are Hussaini Abdullahi-Raha as Deputy Chairman, Abubakar Bawa-Kalgo as Secretary, and Haruna Mai-Jega as Vice Chairman (Central).The congress also occurred amid rumours of possible defections to the rival APC party; however, Bello-Suru reassured members of the PDP’s unbreakable solidarity.
