Ten members of a political support group, the Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Movement, have received a financial empowerment of N10 million from a community benefactor in Ondo State.
The beneficiaries, drawn from Ward 3 in Akoko North-West Local Government Area, received N1 million each from Dr Olorunobi Olalere, an engineer and indigene of Okeagbe. The intervention is designed to boost political activities at the grassroots level as the group campaigns for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Confirming the development in a press statement on Monday, the Ward Coordinator, Akoni Aliu, disclosed that the movement is currently working across the 203 political wards in the state under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
“The group is under the leadership of the governor. But one of our sons in Okeagbe, Dr Olorunobi Olalere, has empowered 10 members of the group with N1 million, totalling N10 million for the 10 beneficiaries,” Aliu stated.
Several state officials and aides to the governor attended the empowerment meeting. The coordinator commended the donor for his continuous commitment to community development and grassroots political participation.
