Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have successfully recovered and neutralised two improvised explosive devices planted by terrorists in Zamfara State, averting a potential disaster.
Acting on credible intelligence, Sector 2 operatives secured the Magami-Hannutara-Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area and identified two separate locations where the IEDs were buried.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was deployed to the scene, where they executed a controlled destruction of one device and safely defused the second.
The military, after the successful joint operations, has increased patrols and surveillance across the axis to protect residents and prevent further attacks.
Meanwhile, the joint task force, on its official social media platforms, appealed to residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency.
