An Ado-Ekiti-based commercial mini-truck driver, Adeleye Adeniyi, says he has obtained a N3.5 million loan to fund the re-election campaigns of President Bola Tinubu and two other lawmakers.

Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO,” in a video, displayed a cardboard cheque detailing the breakdown of his allocations to the president and two other lawmakers. In the video, he allocated N2 million to President Tinubu, N1 million to Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and N500,000 to Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.

The driver believed that the track records of his choice politicians justified his financial risk:

“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” Adeniyi stated.

He appealed to the electorate to back the President’s second-term bid, insisting that Nigerians would witness greater dividends of democracy if the administration receives another mandate.

Adeniyi also commended Senator Bamidele and Governor Biodun Oyebanji, praising their interventions in healthcare, education, and rural infrastructure across the state.

This development follows a similar move by the driver earlier this year. The commercial mini-truck driver previously took a digital loan in February to brand a campaign vehicle in support of Governor Oyebanji’s second-term ambition.
