The clip, which began circulating across social media platforms on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, was recorded during a recent Sunday service at The VOTAGE Church (The Voice of This Age) at the WINLOS Centre in Benin City.
Addressing the congregation, Okpebholo explained that dealing with security challenges is familiar territory because of his early background in spiritual warfare.
“When I see young ones standing in the presence of God, I remember at the age of 17/18, I’ve also started casting out demons…So fighting insecurity, most especially cultism, is not a new thing to me. It’s something that has been happening”, Okpebholo said.
The VOTAGE Church acknowledged the visit on its official Instagram page, stating it was honoured to host the governor for a session focused on praying for peace, progress, and prosperity across Edo State.
Okpebholo also confirmed his attendance via his official X account, sharing that he worshiped at the Living Faith Church on Sapele Road before joining the service at The VOTAGE Church. He added that the church prayed for leadership wisdom and God’s protection over local families.
