The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has denied having any ties to a fake government agency, stating he has never betrayed President Bola Tinubu’s trust.
Gbajabiamila cleared the air on Saturday during his 2026 Mega Empowerment Programme at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos State.
For months, rumours claimed the Chief of Staff was involved with a shady group called the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). However, recent investigations by the House of Representatives and other agencies confirmed the organisation was completely fake and cleared Gbajabiamila of any involvement.
Gbajabiamila stated that while some people tried to pressure the public into judging him early, he insisted on following due process to prove his innocence.
“The past few months have tested me in ways I never expected. Stories were written, strange accusations were made, lies were told, and my integrity was questioned”, Gbajabiamila.
He stated that his long working relationship with the President was his saving grace.
“Mr. President knows his Chief of Staff very well. Having worked closely with me for many years, he was therefore supremely confident that I was not in any way involved in those nefarious things”.
The former Reps Speaker used the occasion to give back to the community by empowering 5,000 Surulere residents with cash support, laptops, buses, and green mobility options like electric tricycles.
He also sent a strong warning to his attackers, stating that no amount of blackmail would distract him from his job.
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, commended Gbajabiamila at the event and urged the crowd to continue supporting the current administration.
