Gunmen kill Abuja doctor, abduct his 3 children in Kubwa

‎Dr. Ifeanyi Ogbu, former chairman of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), FCT Chapter, lost his life after suspected kidnappers attacked and abducted his three children at his residence along the Kubwa-Kaduna road.

Eyewitnesses report that the gunmen stormed his home at night, seizing Dr. Ogbu and his children before abandoning his body by the roadside.

‎Dr Ogbu is well Known for his dedication to animal health and veterinary advancement in the Federal Capital Territory. His wife, a nurse, and extended family are grieving this tragic loss.

This attack follows a report by Dawn Herald of a similar incident of another violent crime in Abuja, about the killing of journalist Somtochukwu Maduagwu during a robbery just a week earlier in the Katampe area. Residents express growing concern as these incidents add to the rising trend of criminal activities within the city.

The investigation into the attack continues, but the FCT Police Command has yet to release an official statement. Meanwhile, Dr. Ogbu’s family remains in distress, hoping for the safe return of the abducted children.
