Key figures of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) convened in Abuja on Thursday, in preparations to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections. The party remains vocally critical of the incumbent government’s policies.
Prominent attendees included former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, former Minister Isa Pantami, ex-Senate President David Mark, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and ex-Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, a close associate of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The meeting served as a pivotal gathering to discuss strategies and strengthen alliances ahead of the upcoming political contests.
