President Bola Tinubu visited the family of the late Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna to pledge continued commitment to his legacy. The visit also included attendance at a high-profile wedding and the inauguration of new facilities at Sultan Bello Mosque to benefit worshippers and the local community.

Yesterday in Kaduna, President Tinubu demonstrated solidarity with the Buhari family by visiting their residence. He was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Aisha Buhari and other close relatives. The President expressed shared sadness but also lauded the enduring spirit of dedication and integrity embodied by the former president, promising to uphold these values.

During the visit, Tinubu stressed that the nation remains united in honoring Buhari’s contributions. He assured that the government will persist on the path of honesty, patriotism, and responsibility inspired by the late leader.  Aisha Buhari in response, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support and comfort offered by the President during the period of mourning.

Following the condolence visit, the President attended the wedding of Nasirudeen Abdulaziz Yari, son of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, at the historic Sultan Bello Mosque. Tinubu praised both households for their respect for tradition. He encouraged the couple to build a foundation of love and faith.

Later, the President inaugurated a substantial development project at the mosque, sponsored by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited. The new complex includes a modern ablution center, 50 restrooms equipped with VIP sections, and a 300,000-liter water tank. These upgrades will serve both the mosque and the surrounding Ungwan Sarki community, addressing previous challenges with water and facilities during peak prayer times.

Site engineer Abba Mubashir confirmed the construction adhered to high standards, noting the spacious ablution area and reliable water supply now in place. This project complements other community efforts by Tantita, such as educational institutions in different parts of Kaduna state.

Malam Abdurrahman Abdulhamid, Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Mosque, praised the completion of this long-awaited project, which had stalled for years before Tantita’s intervention. He prayed for continued support from the company and also outlined the positive impact of the project to over 300 worshippers.

President Tinubu’s multifaceted Kaduna visit bridged remembrance, celebration, and community development, showing a commitment to tradition, national unity, and social responsibility.
