The Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi, has officially resigned his appointment from the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Ogunwuyi’s resignation was confirmed in a formal letter addressed to the governor on October 12, 2026. The former lawmaker joins a growing list of aides who have resigned from Governor Seyi Makinde’s cabinet this year.
“Serving the Government and the good people of Oyo State has been a great honour. It has been deeply fulfilling to be part of the exceptional team that has worked relentlessly to deliver the remarkable achievements of this administration”.
Before his elevation to Chief of Staff in July 2021, Ogunwuyi served as the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Investment and also headed the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPPPA) as its Director-General. He previously represented the Ogbomoso North/South and Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2015.
