A joint security team has successfully rescued 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and one civilian after they were kidnapped in Imo State.
Recall, Dawn Herald reported the victims were travelling through the state when armed men abducted them.
After the incident, the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the police quickly launched an operation to track down the attackers. According to Vanguard News, the security operatives safely located and freed all the captives.
The rescued corps members and the civilian are currently receiving medical attention at a DSS facility to ensure they are healthy after the ordeal before being reunited to their family.
