Non-indigenous business owners and residents in Kaduna State held a massive street rally on Saturday to declare their support for Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, organized under the banner of the Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the APC, brought together leaders and members of various ethnic communities living in the state.
Participants marched through key business corridors, starting from Kigo Road at 9:00 AM, moving down Constitution Road and Ahmadu Bello Way, before arriving at the APC state secretariat along Muhammadu Buhari Way around 11:00 AM.
While addressing the gathering on behalf of Governor Uba Sani, the APC 2027 governorship running mate and former Chairman of the Kaduna State Revenue Service, Comrade Jerry Adams, assured residents that the state remains committed to protecting all businesses and properties regardless of ethnic or religious background.
“Governor Uba Sani is a governor for everybody. He is a governor for the Muslims, Christians, and people of all ethnic groups living in Kaduna…Your businesses are safe, and your properties are safe. Nobody is pressurizing anybody to leave the state”, Adams
He stated that the current administration is built on equal opportunity, ensuring that anyone doing legitimate business in Kaduna feels safe and welcomed. He urged the organizers to continue mobilizing their families, friends, and local network members to support the goals of the administration both at the state and federal levels.
The Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, Larai Ishaku, stated that the state government has introduced several welfare and economic empowerment programs designed to help small business owners expand their operations and improve their livelihoods.
