Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck has ignited a debate online after declaring that any man unwilling to make sacrifices for his partner is a fool.
Speaking during a recent episode of the ‘In Motion Podcast’ on YouTube, the rapper shared his personal views on romantic relationships, financial management, and faith.
Odumodublvck backed his claim by comparing the duty of a man to his wife with biblical teachings on sacrificial love.
“Any man wey talk say he no fit die for him woman na fool!. Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loved the church. And what did Christ do for the church? He died for the church.”
He stated that since his partner is younger than him, he expects to pass away before her and trusts her to manage his estate and care for their children.
The artist also revealed that his girlfriend currently handles his finances. He explained that growing up with a very generous mother made him quick to give money away, making it necessary for his partner to keep his spending in check.
The rapper compared a woman’s role in a man’s life to the queen on a chessboard, describing her as the most powerful piece that protects the king.
“If you look at chess, the strongest piece on the board is the queen. If the queen goes, just forget that game. The king is exposed.”
Odumodublvck, while addressing critics who call him a misogynist, expressed frustration over the stereotype, calling the characterization completely unfair.
