Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have killed at least 16 terrorists and recovered a cache of arms after repelling attacks and launching coordinated strikes in Adamawa State.
The joint operations took place between September 30 and October 1, 2026, targeting insurgent enclaves across the Boima area in Gombi Local Government Area and Sector 4.
According to The PUNCH, the army set up an ambush in Boima, killing 16 terrorists, and yielding three AK-47 rifles, two pump-action rifles, one Dane gun, six AK-47 magazines, and a belt of pump-action cartridges, during the engagement.

Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Maiduguri, in a post on X stated that the Air Force at around 5:30 a.m. on October 1, executed a precise strike after surveillance platforms spotted 16 insurgents gathering with 15 motorcycles under a tree in Sector 4.
The military confirmed that the position was destroyed, while a few surviving fighters fled into the bush.
During the same period, troops at 226 Battalion in Garkida and 232 Battalion in Garaha repelled coordinated enemy attacks, forcing the assailants to retreat. Three soldiers lost their lives during the firefights, while injured troops were evacuated and are receiving treatment in stable condition.
Mohammed Goni, while speaking on the outcome of the operation, stated that follow-up mop-up operations are ongoing across affected communities to secure the general area.
The Theatre Command urged residents to remain vigilant and provide useful information to security agencies as land and air operations continue throughout the region.
