The Nigerian Navy has officially announced the start of its 2026 recruitment exercise for Batch 39 of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, which will officially open on October 2 and run until October 31, 2026.
Interested candidates are advised to submit their applications online through the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal. The military has issued a strict warning to applicants not to fall for fraudulent recruitment portals, that the entire registration process is completely free.
“Online registration and other recruitment processes are free of charge and no payment should be made at any point to anyone throughout the Exercise,” the Navy stated.
To qualify for the Batch 39 training, applicants must meet several key criteria:
- Must be single Nigerian citizens by birth, possessing a National Identity Card, NIN slip, or BVN.
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to standard guidelines.
- Must have no criminal convictions recorded by a court of law.
- Must be between 18 and 22 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
- Must meet the height requirement of at least 1.69 meters for males and 1.65 meters for females.
- Must possess at least five credits in SSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Applicants applying as tradesmen or tradeswomen must also present a Trades Test or City and Guild Certificate.
