US strikes Venezuela, captures President Maduro

The Venezuelan capital, Caracas, today Saturday, January 3, was struck by multiple explosions by the United States forces targeting key military installations, including the Fuerte Tiuna complex and La Carlota airbase.

‎Shortly after, President Trump claimed on Truth Social that Maduro had been captured and flown out of the country. The operation, was carried out by the elite Delta Force, after months of US military presence in the Caribbean.

‎Eyewitnesses reportedly saw helicopters and low-flying aircraft at Caracas around 2:00 am local time before the strike. The airstrikes hit communication antennas and military hangars.

‎Meanwhile the Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has demanded proof of life, stating the government is currently unaware of the President’s whereabouts.

‎Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López accused the United States of targeting residential areas with rockets, though specific casualty figures have not yet been confirmed.
